In the ACX500 outdoor router, all the interface ports (Gigabit Ethernet SFP and RJ-45 ports) are located
in a small chamber on the front top of the router. You can access the interface ports to install the
transceivers and check LED status through this interface port chamber. The metal cover locks and seals
the chamber from external environmental factors. See

To access and weatherproof the Gigabit Ethernet SFP interface ports and cables:
1.
Unscrew and remove the six screws from the metal cover on top of the router that covers the
interface port chamber. Keep the screws for later use.

Figure 10
from left to right, the first three cable connector inlets are for the three Gigabit
Ethernet ports supporting SFP transceivers. The fourth inlet is for the cables for the three Gigabit
Ethernet RJ-45 ports.
2.
Remove the weather seal cap from the cable inlet port on the router by using a slotted screwdriver.
