Engine
- Remove and wash the rotors thoroughly with pet-
rol and compressed air.
- Extract the shaft with its gear and check that it is
in good working order and without signs of wear.
- Reassemble the rotors in the pump body, keep-
ing the 2 reference marks visible.
- Slide in the shaft with the gear and install the lock
ring; afterwards turn it with the opening opposed
to the shaft face.
- Check any irregular clearance between shaft and
pump body.
- Measure distance between rotors with a thick-
ness gauge at the position shown in the picture.
Characteristic
limit clearance allowed:
0.012 mm
- Measure the distance between the outer rotor
and the pump body (see figure).
