Troubleshooting
Problem
The indicator lamp in the F rear win-
dow heating rocker switch is flashing. The
rear window heating has switched itself
off prematurely or cannot be switched on.
OFF
The AC cooling system cannot be
switched off using COMAND.
The PASS AIR BAG OFF warning lamp on
the right-hand side of the instrument clus-
ter is lit.

Possible cause
There is insufficient voltage because too
many consumers are switched on, e.g.
reading lamps, interior lighting.
The cooling system is losing refrigerant.
A child seat is fitted to the front-passen-
ger seat. The front-passenger front airbag
has therefore been deactivated.

Risk of injury
If there is no child seat fitted to the front-
passenger seat, the child seat recognition
has malfunctioned.

Suggested solutions
Switch off consumers that are not re-
quired, e.g. reading lamps, interior light-
ing.
The rear window heating will automati-
cally switch back on as soon as there is
sufficient voltage again.
Have the automatic air conditioning
checked at a qualified specialist work-
shop.
Remove transponder cards, e.g. ski
passes, from the vicinity of the seat
cushion.
Have the child seat recognition checked
at a qualified specialist workshop.
