Switching off
Button on the centre console
Briefly press the button ( page 313)
until the indicator lamp in the button
goes out.
Remote control
Press the OFF button until indicator
lamp 4 lights up red ( page 314).

Heater booster system*

The heater booster system helps the en-
gine to reach its operating temperature
more quickly after it is started, and helps
the interior to warm up more quickly.
The heater booster system switches itself
on if:
the heater booster system is activated
the outside temperature is below 8 °C
the coolant temperature is below
70 °C

Risk of fire and poisoning
Exhaust fumes are produced when the
heater booster system is in operation.
You should therefore switch off the heater
booster system in confined spaces without
an extraction system, e.g. a garage.
Heater booster system operation is prohibit-
ed at filling stations or when your vehicle is
being refuelled. You must therefore switch
off the engine at filling stations.

Environmental note
Additional fuel is consumed when the heater
booster system is in operation. Therefore
only use the heater booster system sparing-
ly. This will protect the environment.
You can switch the heater booster system
on or off:
until you next start the engine

2 Indicator lamp
You can only switch the heater booster
system on and off when the ignition is
switched on. When the ignition is off, use
rocker switch 1 to switch the auxiliary
heating on or off.
