Jump-starting

Get into the vehicle and start the en-

gine within 30 seconds.

If the starting attempt fails:

Turn the key to position 0 in the ig-

nition lock.

Remove the key.

Start the other vehicle's engine and

let it run for a few minutes.

Start the engine again within

When the engine is running, switch on

some electrical consumers, e.g. the

First disconnect the jump leads from

negative terminals 2 and 3, then

from positive terminals 1 and 4.

Always begin with your own battery.

Have the battery checked at a qualified

specialist workshop, e.g. a

Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
