Example display of a traffic jam on the route
1 Icon for an incident on the route, a traf-
fic jam in this instance
2 Icon highlighting the section of the
route affected by the incident
3 Current vehicle position and direction
of travel
4 Map scale selected

COMAND highlights the entire section of the
route which is affected with corresponding icons
2, regardless of how long the incident actually
is.
Icons 2 are located to the left or right of the
route, when viewed in the direction of travel.
They thereby show which side of the carriageway
is affected by the incident.

2 Icon for traffic jam to the side of the
route (icon has grey outline)
3 Icon for slow-moving traffic on the
route (icon has red outline)
4 Icon for slow-moving traffic to the side
of the route (icon has grey outline)
5 Icon for road closure on the route (red
icon)
6 Icon for road closure to the side of the
route (grey icon)
7 Highlighting icon for traffic jam
8 Highlighting icon for slow-moving traf-
fic

If you have switched off dynamic route guid-
ance, COMAND will also show red icons 1, 3
and 5 for incidents to the side of the road.

Operating systems
Displaying the report list
Select "Navi" "TMC".
COMAND searches for RDS-TMC sta-
tions. If no stations are available, you
will see a display to this effect.
To close the display: select "OK".
If stations are available, COMAND
searches for traffic reports. You will
see a display to this effect.
To cancel the search: select "Can-
cel".
If there are no traffic reports, you will
see a display to this effect.
To close the display: select "OK".
If there are traffic reports, you will see
the report list. If route guidance is ac-
tive, the list only contains reports for
the route. If route guidance is not ac-
tive, the list contains all traffic reports.
If there are no reports for the route, you
can also display all traffic reports.
