Entering a special destination in the
surrounding area
Select "Destination"
"Current position" in map view with the
menu system displayed ( page 146).
Continue with designating the special
destination category ( page 155).
Entering a special destination in the
surroundings of a given town
Option 1
Select "Destination"
"Other town" in map view with the
menu system displayed ( page 146).
Selecting the country ( page 150).
To enter the town: select "Town".
The town input menu appears.
Proceed as described in the "Entering
characters" section ( page 77).
Once you have entered the town, con-
tinue with designating the special des-
tination category ( page 155).
Option 2
Enter a town in the address input menu
"From POIs"
( page 150).
Select "POI".
Now continue with designating the spe-
cial destination category ( page 155).
Entering a special destination in a
different region

Special destinations in a different region
may be airports or border crossings.
"From POIs"
Select "Destination"
"Global POI" in map view with the menu
system displayed ( page 146).
The special destination list appears.
The country currently set is shown at
the top.
To select a different country: select
"Country".
The country list appears.

Operating systems
Select the desired country.
If no special destinations are available
for the selected country, you will see a
message to this effect.
To close the message: Select
"OK".
You can select a country again.
If special destinations are available,
you will see the category list.
Proceed as described from the "Select-
ing a category" paragraph in the "As-
signing a special destination category"
section ( page 155).
Assigning a special destination
category
Depending on the number of available cat-
egories, you can either enter the name of
the category or immediately select a cate-
gory.
To enter a name: proceed as de-
scribed in the "Entering characters"
section ( page 77).
or
To select a category: select the de-
sired category from the list.
