Deactivating Distronic Plus
There are various ways of deactivating Dis-
tronic Plus:
Pull the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 3.
or
Brake, unless the vehicle is stationary.
or
Push the cruise control lever in the di-
rection of arrow 5.
Distronic Plus is deactivated. The LIM
indicator lamp in the cruise control le-
ver is lit.
The last speed stored remains stored when
you restart the engine.

Do not deactivate Distronic Plus if you accel-
erate. As soon as you release the accelerator
pedal, Distronic Plus adjusts the vehicle's speed
to the last speed stored.
Distronic Plus is deactivated automatically
when:
you apply the parking brake or the ve-
hicle is automatically secured with the
parking brake
there is no longer a vehicle travelling in
front below 25 km/h or the vehicle in
front is no longer detected

activate ESP
you shift the transmission to N, P or R
If Distronic Plus is deactivated, you will
hear a signal. The "DISTRONIC PLUS off"
message is displayed in the driver's display
for approximately five seconds.
If Distronic Plus is active and a malfunction
occurs in the system, the "Brake immedi-
ately" message appears in the driver's dis-
play. Depress the brake pedal immediately
so that the vehicle does not roll away. Dis-
tronic Plus is then deactivated and the
message goes out.

The following contains descriptions of cer-
tain road and traffic conditions in which
you must pay particular attention. In such
situations, brake if necessary. Distronic
Plus is then deactivated.
Cornering, going into and coming out of
a bend

Distronic Plus can only detect other vehi-
cles to a limited degree when cornering.
Your vehicle could brake unexpectedly.
