1 To set the vehicle level
2 Indicator lamp
Setting the raised level
Start the engine.
If indicator lamp 2 is not lit:
Press button 1.
Indicator lamp 2 lights up. The vehicle
is adjusted to the raised level.
Setting the normal level
Start the engine.
If the indicator lamp is lit:
Press button 1.
Indicator lamp 2 goes out. The vehicle
is adjusted to the normal level.

The vehicle level setting is also stored after
the engine is restarted.

Adjust the chassis tuning using the pro-
gram selector button (S/C/M)

The suspension properties in all three drive
programs (S/C/M) also depend on:
your driving style
the road-surface conditions
the load

Risk of accident
PTS is only an aid and may not detect all
obstacles. It does not relieve you of the
responsibility to pay attention.
You are always responsible for safety and
must continue to pay attention to your im-
mediate surroundings when parking and
manoeuvring. Otherwise, you could endan-
ger yourself and others.

Risk of injury
Make sure that no persons or animals are in
the manoeuvring range. Otherwise, they
could be injured.
PTS is an electronic parking aid with ultra-
sonic sensor. PTS informs you visually of
the distance between your vehicle and an
obstacle and warns you audibly if you are
approaching an obstacle.
PTS is activated automatically when you
switch on the ignition, release the parking
brake or start the engine and shift the
transmission to D, R or N.
