Pay particular attention to objects above or
below the sensors when parking, such as flower
pots or trailer towbars. Park Assist does not de-
tect such objects when they are in the immedi-
ate vicinity of the vehicle. You could damage the
vehicle or the objects.

The Park Assist sensors are located below
the bumpers. Make sure that the bumper is free
of dirt, ice or slush in the area of the sensor, oth-
erwise Park Assist may not function correctly
( page 375).
Warning displays
The warning displays show the distance
between the sensor and the obstacle. The
warning display for the front area is in the
driver's display. The warning display for
the rear area is at the rear in the roof lining.

The warning display for each side of the ve-
hicle is divided into five yellow and two red
segments. Park Assist is operational if yel-
low information displays 3 under the seg-
ments light up.

One or more segments light up as the vehi-
cle approaches an obstacle, depending on
the vehicle's distance from the obstacle.
If you drive towards an obstacle, you will
hear an intermittent signal for approxi-
mately two seconds from the sixth seg-
ment onwards. From the seventh segment
onwards, you will hear a warning tone. The
vehicle has reached the minimum dis-
tance.
