Copy skew correction procedure

Note: This specification is used for copies from the flatbed, front ADF, and back ADF.

Check the paper squareness.

Make sure that the guides in the paper tray are properly aligned.

Check the base printer skew and registration.

Make sure that the page is pushed to the top left corner of the flatbed.

Make sure that the auto document guides are snug against the page.

Plug the printer into the power source, and then power on in Normal Printing Mode.

Measure CopyL1, CopyL2, CopyT1, CopyT2, CopyR1, CopyR2, CopyB1, and CopyB2 data points as shown
below.

Measure from the edge of the paper to the outer edge of the thick black line.

Determine the following calculations:
CopyL2‑CopyL1 = ____
CopyR2‑CopyR1 = ____
CopyT2‑CopyT1 = ____
CopyB2‑CopyB1 = ____
CopyT1‑CopyB1 = ____
CopyL1‑CopyR1 = ____

Determine if the printer passes or fails the skew specifications based on the values listed on the table.
