Dampen the cleaning stick with ink cleaner.
Do not allow ink cleaner to drip from the
cleaning stick.

Important:
❏ Rinse a cleaning stick using ink cleaner
for each step.
❏ Do not reuse ink cleaner.
❏ Used ink cleaner and cleaning sticks are
industrial waste. Dispose of them in the
same way as for waste inks.

❏ Store ink cleaner at room temperature
out of direct sunlight.
❏ After using the ink cleaner, make sure
you close the cap.

Cleaning Around the Print Head

Inspect the area around the print head and remove any
ink, lint, or dust as described below.
Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
following:

Position the print head for maintenance

After the print head moves to the left end of the
printer, open the left maintenance cover.

Dampen the cleaning stick (wide) with ink
cleaner.
