data to a write-protected diskette.
F.2.1.1 Write-Protecting a Diskette
When you use a diskette to install application software on your system, or
to protect information on the diskette, move the write-protect switch on the
back of the diskette down until it locks in place as shown in Figure F-4.

F.2.1.2 Writing to a Diskette
When you use a diskette to make a backup copy of a file or to write out
data, set the write-protect switch to enable writing to the diskette.
To enable writing, slide the switch up, until the switch locks in place.
F.3 Compact Discs
The RRD40 expansion box uses compact discs with a memory capacity of
600Mb. These discs are supplied in a protective caddy.
F.3.1 How to Remove the Disc from the Caddy
To remove the disc from the caddy for cleaning or caddy repair, perform the
following steps:
1. Hold the caddy so that it is facing label side down. Locate the locking
tabs on either side of the disc housing. See Figure F -5.
