Default boot flags (used in specialized startup procedures) should be set for
the operating system installed on your MicroVAX 3100 or VAXserver 3100
system. See your operating system documentation for more information.
To set the default boot flags:
1.
Ensure the system is in console mode. If the

appear on the screen, press the Halt button on the back of the system
unit.
2. Determine the default boot flag number (a hexadecimal number of up to
eight characters) from your operating system software documentation.
3. Set the default boot flags for your operating system. At the
