Treatment Decisions
New to the Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System is the ability to use the sensor glucose readings
to make treatment decisions, including insulin doses.
To make a treatment decision, you need to know what your glucose readings are now,
where they are heading, along with what you have eaten, your stress levels, when you last
exercised, etc. With the Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System's trend graphs and Alarm/Alerts
feature, you can determine the speed and direction of your glucose changes and determine if
you should dose without taking a fingerstick, eat carbs, or do nothing.
