6.15 RS232 Setup

There is one RS-232 port at DVR rear panel.
1. In main menu, move select ―RS232‖ to enter into DVR ―RS232‖ setup menu.
RS232 menu parameters:

RS-232 parameters: Including baud rate, data bit, stop bit, parity, flow control, etc.

RS-232 mode: The RS-232 port can be used as a ―Console,‖ ―PPP‖ or
―Transparent Channel.‖

Console Mode

Connect the RS232 port to a PC serial port for HyperTerminal control.
6.15.2

Transparent Channel Mode

Connect serial devices. The Remote PC can control these serial devices through the
network.
