F5 Footswitch:
The SD1 can exploit two types of optional pedals (FS13 with thirteen switches and FS6 with six switches) to control many func-
tions, including those already available in the X series.
F5 Footswitch: This calls up a page that shows the function assigned to each of the switches. To modify it, use the CUR-
SOR +/- push buttons to select the pedal switch and the VALUE +/- push buttons to modify the function assigned as desired,
amongst the following:

The Footswitch menu also takes the F5 Escape functions into account, to return to the initial page of Utility and F10 Default to reset the orig-
inal settings.
Once the modification has been completed, save the settings by pressing SAVE/ENTER to make it possible to save in Flash RAM using F10 Save,
to cancel the procedure using F5 Escape and to return to the Footswitch menu using F4 Undo.
F6 Accord.:
This calls up a new page with the parameters dedicated to the use of a MIDI accordion. See the MIDI Accordion section for
more details.
F7 Text:
This is used to disable, or otherwise, the display of .TXT files.
F8 Autoclose:
When set on Yes, the page in which the Voices and Styles are selected closes after a short time to return to the page previ-
ously displayed.
F9 Styles:
This establishes the Style selection mode. When it is set on Group, the selection is made by families of Styles correspon-
ding to the relative parameters. When set on Numeric, the Style is called up by entering the 3-figure number using the
numeric keypad (STYLES push buttons), as for the X series. The first of the 3-figures can be saved (that in hundreds) by
pressing the * push button at the same time as the number. Thus the number blocked is displayed in small print and the
selection continues with two-digits within the hundreds fixed. To release the hundreds number simply press the same but-
ton again together with the * push button. For example, if you wish to select style 215 and then 279 press number 2 and the
push button * at the same time. The display will keep number 2 in small print, then if you select the two remaining digits
making up the complete number using the numeric keypad, namely 15, the display will show 215. Then by entering number
79 the display will show 279. Press 2 and * together again at the same time to release number 2 and then proceed in the
same manner to select numbers belonging to other hundreds.
F10 Vel. Curve:
By pressing the function push button F10 repeatedly one of the six different response curves to the keyboard velocity can
be selected or one of the five User curves that can be programmed. The Fixed curve produces an identical velocity value
whatever the keyboard dynamics applied, the value of which is set using the VALUE +/- push buttons. To access the pro-
gramming function of the User curves, select one using F10 and then press the VALUE + and VALUE – push buttons togeth-
er at the same time. The page thus called up shows the response curve in the middle of the display, indicated in a Cartesian
system that indicates the velocity value acknowledged by the keyboard on the axis of the abscissas (Key In) and the output
value on that of the ordinate (Key Out) according to the curve processed. All modifications made to the curve are displayed
