Effects

The DSP's of the SD1 are capable of producing Reverb, Chorus, Delay and Modulation effects to be applied to the Upper and Lower parts, to the
accompaniment tracks and to the external audio signals. The SD1 is also equipped with an equalizer to model the final sound. From this menu
again the level of the individual audio outputs can be modified.
The SD1 employs up to three DSP's to generate the global Reverb and for the Upper parts, the Reverb to assign to the Drum 1 track and the three
groups of Chorus, Delay and Distorsor effects that can work both in parallel and in series in Programs and in parallel for the automatic accom-
paniment tracks and the Lower parts.
The assignment of the Delay, Chorus and Distorsion effects is done in the Arrange View menu for the automatic accompaniment tracks and the
Lower parts (with the exception of the Drum 1 and Drum 2 tracks). For the Right section the assignment of the effects is done using the On Line
Effect menu or using the Programs.
To access the effects menu from the main page press F3 Effect.
The Effects menu is made up as follows:
F1 Reverb 1:
This is the Reverb assigned to the whole keyboard and to the whole timbre generator, despite the single parts. The value,
that can be modified using the VALUE +/- push buttons, establishes the entity of the Reverb applied.
F2 Right:
This always uses the Reverb 1 type of Reverb, but it is used to specify the quantity of Reverb to be applied separately to the
Right part of the keyboard, that dedicated to the lead. The value is modified using the VALUE +/- push buttons.
F3 Reverb Type:
This is used to establish which Reverb algorithm is to be used for Reverb 1 and Right to be chosen between Box 1, Box 2, Room
1, Room 2, Studio 1, Studio 2, Hall 1, Hall 2, Stage 1, Stage 2, Theatre, Cathedral, Arena, Valley, Planet and Galaxy. Furthermore,
you can also select four User Reverbs derived from the modification of the algorithms in ROM. This modification is enabled
using the F10 Edit push button, again from the Effects menu, that we will discuss later. To choose the type of algorithm use
the VALUE +/- push buttons.
F4 Reverb 2:
This is the Reverb assigned to just the Drum 1 track of the Styles and not to the Drum 2 track that controls the Live Drums.
The quantity of Reverb applied is modified using the VALUE +/- push buttons.
F5 Reverb Type:
This specifies the algorithm assigned to the Drum 1 track between Room, Studio, Club, Hall, Theatre, Stage and Arena. By
selecting Rev1 Type the Drum 1 track will use the same algorithm used for Reverb 1. To select the type of algorithm use the
VALUE +/- push buttons.
F6 Equalize:
This sends the user to the page dedicated to the graphic equalizer with three bands and to the level of the audio outputs.
The parameters, that can be modified using the VALUE +/- push buttons, are the following:
