AUTOMATED LOADING

It may become very useful to group a number of different audio files into one single file (Sound Block) to be loaded with one single operation.
If this file is given the same name as one of the Registrations, a number of sounds will be automatically loaded each time the Registration is
called up. If the file name is the same as the name of a Style Block or of a Song Block, the sounds are automatically loaded by simply loading
a Style or a Song Block. This device proves to be most useful if a style or a Midi file also contains a groove or an audio file.
Proceed as follows to create a Sound Block:
Press the SOUND LOAD button.
Use the F8 function button to select the type of audio file to be included in the Sound Block (chose between MSP and Wave).
Use the VALUE +/-, CURSOR +/- and F10 Select buttons to select a number of audio files.
Press F6 Create Block to actually create the file block.
Use the keys of the keyboard to enter the name, use the CURSOR +/- buttons to move.
Press F10 Save to confirm. The file block will be saved in the Sound Folder on the hard disk, or press F5 Escape to delete the operation.
In order to use sounds of the floppy disk to create a file Block it is indispensable to first copy them on the hard disk, into folder 94 Sound, which
is automatically set if Master Folder is active.
A file Block can contain files in the .WAV, .MSP, and .INS format.
LOAD A SOUND BLOCK ON SWITCHING THE SD1 ON
It may be useful to automatically load a Sound Block on switching the SD1 on, so you have it immediately available. For this purpose, create or
select a Sound Block as described above. Then press the F9 function button to display only the files of the Sound Block (F9 Dir Block). Use the
VALUE +/- and F10 Select buttons to select the Sound Block you wish to load on switching the instrument on and press the SAVE/ENTER but-
ton to create the new file called!! INIT 00.PWR, allocated in the inside of the source Folder of the Sound Block. If you wish to deactivate the auto-
matic loading of a Sound Block you need to delete the !! INIT00.PWR file proceeding as follows:
Press the EXIT button to go back to the main display page.
Activate the MASTER FOLDER button if deactivated.
Press DISK and enter value 94 on the numeric keypad (STYLES buttons) to select Folder 94 Sound.
Press F10 Select to select file !! INIT00.PWR.
Press F6 Delete to delete it and press F10 Exec to confirm after the SD1 warning appears. Press F5 Escape to cancel the delete operation.
Deleting the !! INIT00.PWR file will not delete neither the original Sound Block nor the single audio files it contains.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RAM AND FLASH RAM

The procedures described above refer to the loading of samples into the RAM memory, which will be lost on switching the SD1 off. There is a
possibility to load samples into a buffer memory, called Flash RAM, that makes it possible to keep the samples in memory even while the key-
board is switched off and which is used to up-date or locate the timbres. The use of the Flash RAM is reserved to Ketron specialists, due to the
fact that replacing one of the samples present on the purchase may jeopardise the correct management of the Style and Voices timbres.
Function F5 Flash Load makes it possible to load samples into the Flash RAM, but this procedure is not described in this manual on purpose.
