When the modifications have been completed, save the scale in one of the thirteen available memory locations. Press
SAVE/ENTER to access the list of memory locations that can be selected using the CURSOR +/- push buttons. F10 Save
saves the scale in the location selected at the time and F5 Escape returns to the previous page. The thirteen Arabic
scales saved can be easily called up while playing live using the pedal switches FS 6 and FS 13 (optional).
F2 Video:
This is used to select the type of video output signal using the VALUE +/- push buttons, between PAL (European televi-
sion system), NTSC (American television system), SVHS Pal (super VHS European), SVHS NTSC (super VHS American),
Monitor (VGA monitor for computers), OFF (video card disabled).
F3 Registr. Mode:
This is used to access a number of parameters dedicated to the Registrations. Further details are given in the
Registration section.
F4 Disp. Time:
The value entered using the VALUE +/- push buttons establishes the time that the page in use remains displayed, at the
end of which the SD1 returns to the main page of the display. Set as Off, the page in use remains displayed.
F5 Pianist:
This is used to select the Pianist mode between Automatic, where the chord is acknowledged if at least two keys are
pressed and Normal where the chord is blocked by the enabling of the Sustain pedal. Further details are given in the
Arranger section.
F6 Keyboard Out Ass:
This calls up the page used to manage the four audio outputs. The rhythm sections and the lead parts are displayed in
the middle of the display, which can be conveyed to the audio outputs. The use of an additional output disables the
built-in DSP dedicated to the effects, but not the Reverb. Therefore if Distorsor effect is to be used on a timbre, the aux-
iliary output cannot be used at the same time. If four audio outputs are used together at the same time, the SD1 dis-
ables all the DSP's, therefore the timbres are not processed by Reverb or Effects.
To select one of these sections or parts use the CURSOR +/- push buttons and then the VALUE +/- push buttons to mod-
ify the audio output according to the management mode of the outputs referred to the F1/5 function push buttons.
F7 GM Out Ass.:
This calls up the page to assign the outputs separate from the sixteen MIDI parts in General MIDI and the drum sections.
The management of the parameters and the limits are identical to F6 Keyboard Out Assign (see relative section).
F6 Footswitch: If set as Note Mapping, the Arabic scale is also applied to the notes played using the pedal. If
set as Arabic Set, the thirteen Arabic scales to be called up instantly are assigned to the pedal switches.
F10 Normal: This resets the standard tuning.
F1 L&R Standard: All the sections and the parts are lead to the main audio outputs L and R.
F2 L&R Out 3: Together with the main audio outputs there is also the audio output 3 available, which is not
processed by the internal effects. The Reverb remains enabled for the L&R outputs.
F3 L&R Out 4: As for the previous output but using audio output 4.
F4 L&R Out 3 & 4: The pair of main stereo audio outputs and the two audio outputs independent from one
another are available.
F5 Separate 1, 2, 3, 4: Four monophonic audio outputs that can be assigned freely.
F6 Default: This resets the initial conditions on each of the Out Assign combinations.
