accomplished.
Enter the number of the RAM Style using the numeric keypad (STYLES push buttons). For further details consult the "Directly loading a
Single RAM Style" section.

AUTOMATICALLY LOADING A BLOCK STYLE WHEN TURNING ON

A Block Style to be automatically loaded when turning the SD1 on can be selected or created to save time. Display the list of Block Styles avail-
able using F9 Dir Block and then select that desired using the VALUE +/- and F10 Select push buttons. Once selected, press the SAVE/ENTER
push button and the SD1 will create a file called !! INIT 01.PWR placed in the same Folder as the original Block Style. The next time the SD1 is
turned on it will automatically load the Block Style desired. To disable the automatic loading function cancel the file called !! INIT 01.PWR using
F6 Delete, which will not cancel the original Block Style. When the SD1 turns on Block Autoloading will appear in the middle of the display with
the options: F5 Escape to cancel loading and F10 Exec to confirm loading. However, if no function is selected the file will be loaded after a
few seconds.
LOADING RAM STYLES FROM A FOLDER THAT IS NOT CORRELATED TO MASTER FOLDER
Styles can also be loaded from Folders created by the musician and different to those related to the Master Folder, but some functions are
lost. Consult the table at the beginning of the section for more details. The Styles copied in a Folder with Master Folder disabled can be loaded
directly using SINGLE RAM STYLE and entering the relative number using the numeric keypad (STYLES push buttons), or they can be displayed
right across the full screen using the BLOCK/LIST and then from here they are selected in the same manner mentioned above.
When the Master Folder is disabled the Single RAM Style and Block/List functions refer to the last Folder selected, except for those strictly
related to Master Folder. Therefore before starting to load a Ram Style select the Folder in which they are stored. See the Disk section for fur-
ther details.
Bear in mind that the Styles loaded in RAM will not be marked in any way. Furthermore, the F2 Load function will not load the Styles in RAM
but it enables the replacement of these Styles with the Custom Styles in Flash RAM.

REPLACING THE CUSTOM STYLES

The 107 Custom Styles stored in Flash RAM can be replaced with any other Style stored in the hard disk. The Flash RAM has the advantage that
it stores the parameters even after the machine has been turned off. The Custom Style replaced however is not copied in hard disk and is there-
fore lost. For this reason, before replacing the file, a password must first be entered. The procedure is described in detail in the Utility section
indicated briefly below:
From the main page of the display press F3 Utility.
Go to page 3 using the PAGE +/- push buttons.
Press F6 Password.
There is no password when you purchase the SD1, therefore all the related functions can be ignored.
Disable the blocking function of the Flash RAM saving procedure (Unlocked) using F6 Flash.
Exit from the page using EXIT.
To replace a Style in Flash RAM access the DISK menu.
Selected Folder 95 Styles using the numeric keypad (STYLE push buttons) if the Master Folder is enabled.
Select the Folder in which the source Styles are stored using the numeric keypad if the Master Folder is disabled.
Select the original Style using the VALUE +/-, CURSOR +/- and F10 Select push buttons.
Press F2 Load to start the replacement procedure.
The display calls up the Style Replace page where the location of the destination Custom Styles is pointed out and also the source Style.
The destination Flash RAM location can be modified using the VALUE +/- push buttons.
Once the destination memory has been selected, confirm the replacing procedure using F10 Execute or go back to the previous page using
F5 Escape.
A message will warn the user about the procedure being accomplished. Press F10 Continue to confirm; to cancel and return to the Folder
page press F5 Exit.
The original Custom Styles (1-107) can be re-loaded from Folder 90 Reload, with Master Folder enabled, which stores a copy of the single Styles
and the SD1STY0.RLD, which by pressing F2 Load, automatically starts to load the original Styles in Flash RAM.
A single Custom Style cannot be loaded from RAM to hard disk as the SD1 saves all the timbre parameters of the Custom Styles in one single file
with .STY extension. The saving procedure has already been described in the Arranger section.
