F4 COPY

This is accessed from the initial Pattern Edit page, to copy a whole Pattern or Section of it on the Pattern being edited. If the Pattern being
modified already has some tracks recorded, then the source tracks or Sections must have the same time signature and the same length in
beats. The copy function is used to define not only the original Section but also the track within the Section to be copied.
Page F4 Copy appears as follows:
F1 Source:
This is used to specify the memory location from which the file to be copied is selected, amongst Custom (in Flash
RAM) and Disk Style (in Hard Disk) by pressing F1 Source again. Immediately underneath is the number of the source
Style. To change the Style to be copied simply enter the number of the Style using the numeric keypad (STYLES
push buttons).
F3 Section:
sThis is used to specify the Section to be copied by pressing F3 Section repeatedly. Included are Intro 1, 2, 3, Ending
1, 2, 3, Fill In 1, 2, 3, 4 (Break), To End. Arrange A, B, C, D. If "Global" is selected all the Sections of one Style will be
copied.
F4 Tracks:
When F3 Section is different to "Global", the track to be copied can also be specified, amongst Drums, Chord 1, 2, 3,
4, 5 and Drums 2.
F5 Escape:
This is used to return to the Pattern Edit page.
F6 Destination:
This provides information on the destination Pattern, which cannot be modified unless you exit F4 Copy and load a
new Pattern for editing
F8 Destination Section:
When selecting a Section of which a number of variations are available, you can modify the destination Section pro-
vided that it matches the original one. Thus, for example, if the source Section is Arrange A, you could choose not
only Arrange A as destination but also B, C and D. The same applies to Intro, Ending and Fill In. To select a different
Section press the function push button F6 Destination Section repeatedly.
F9 Destination Track:
If a Chord track has been selected in F4 Tracks, you can copy it in a different Chord track to the original one, as
explained for F6 Destination Section. To select a different Chord track, press function push button F7 Destination
Track repeatedly.
F10 Save:
This is used to confirm and to save the copy procedure set with the parameters as indicated above.

F5 LIST

From the initial page of Pattern Edit you can select a Style in Hard Disk to be modified. The Patterns are indeed created and modified by work-
ing on the files of the hard disk, to avoid accidentally damaging the contents of the Flash RAM. To select a Style to be loaded in Pattern Edit,
scroll the list using the VALUE +/- push buttons and, having found the Style, press F10 Select. You will automatically return to the main page
of Pattern Edit. To return to the initial page without choosing a Style press F5 Escape.
