Utility

The Utility menus are used to control the physical controllers, the MIDI accordions, the pedal, the dynamics response curve, the audio outputs
and a group of parameters that modify the general performance of the SD1.
From the main page of the display, press F3 Utility to access the first page indicated as 1/3 at the top right part of the display. To select the
other two menu pages use the PAGE +/- push buttons. The single groups of parameters, to which other menus correspond, are enabled using
the relative function push buttons.
UTILITY, PAGE 1/3
F1 Transpos:
By pressing the function push button F1 repeatedly the transposition mode is modified between Normal and Delayed. With
Normal the transposition is applied immediately as soon at it is varied. With Delayed the transposition is applied when the
next chord change is played in the part of keyboard to the left of the split point.
F2 Aftertouch:
This calls up a new menu dedicated to controlling the after touch. The parameters available are the following:
F1 Cutoff: When On, by pressing the function push button F1 again, the after touch controls the opening of the fil-
ter that can make the timbre more brilliant.
F2 LFO DCO: When On, the after touch controls the vibrato.
F3 Bend: The value entered using the VALUE +/- push buttons indicates the deviation semitones of the intonation.
By entering a value of –1, additional expressiveness is given to the timbres such as the sax.
F4 Slide: This is an effect associated with the keyboard velocity and consists in a very quick tuning adjustment of
the chord during the sound attack, very similar to that encountered normally in the attack of almost all wind instru-
ments. The Slide can be used successfully to make the sax, trumpet, clarinet and guitar phrasing more realistic and
expressive.
F5 Attack: When On, it enables the modulations controlled by the after touch with a slight delay. If for example the
after touch is used to create a vibrato, with Attack set On the vibrato works only after a few seconds, creating a more
natural sensation.
F6 LFO DCA: When On, the after touch controls the tremolo effect.
F7 LFO DCF: When On, the after touch controls the modulation of the LFO on the filter cut-off.
F8 Volume: When On, the after touch controls the volume of the timbres of the Right section.
F9 Slide Thr: The value entered using the VALUE +/- push buttons establishes the velocity beyond which the Slide
affect is triggered. Lower the value less key dynamics is required to activate the Slide.
F10 Sensitiv.: The value entered using the VALUE +/- push buttons establishes the response sensitivity to the after
touch. If modified the control of all the parameters controlled by after touch are also changed.
