Demo & Hit
During live performance, it may be very useful to have a list of songs available to call up by a single press of a button. Demo & Hit is connect-
ed to the Master Folder function, that creates a special Folder within the Hard Disk where any Midi file loaded from the Floppy or the Hard Disk
will be stored, sorted in 99 pages containing ten Midi files each. The Demo & Hit function does not create any connection or any alias to the
source file, but it actually copies it from the source disk or Folder. The Midi files copied according to this procedure will be called up by the rel-
evant function buttons on the display.
COPYING MIDI FILES FROM THE FLOPPY DISK TO THE DEMO & HIT FOLDER
Press the MASTER FOLDER button.
Introduce the floppy disk, press DISK and then use the PAGE +/- buttons to select Floppy.
Use the VALUE +/- buttons and, if there is a number of pages containing Midi files, the CURSOR +/- buttons to select the files to copy.
Press F10 Select to confirm. The symbol " " appears next to the names of the selected Midi files.
Press F4 Copy.
On the page that appears now, you may modify the name of the Midi file using the keys of the keyboard and pressing the CURSOR +/- but-
tons. Before pressing the F10 Execute to confirm, change the target Folder into "Songs To Demo & Hit" pressing the function key F3!
COPYING MIDI FILES FROM A HARD DISK FOLDER INTO THE DEMO & HIT FOLDER
Enter the DISK menu by pressing the relevant button.
Press F8 Folder to display the complete list of Folders on the Hard disk.
Select the Folder containing the Midi files to copy by entering its number on the numeric keypad (STYLES button), or by moving with the
VALUE +/- buttons. If Master Folder was activated while the file was copied from the floppy disk to the hard disk, the Midi files will be sto-
red in folder 91.
Press F7 Copy after having selected the Folder.
On the display the complete contents of the Folder appears. Use the VALUE +/-, CURSOR +/- and F10 Select buttons to select the Midi file
to copy.
After having selected the Midi file, press F8 Target Folder to define the target folder. Use the VALUE +/- buttons to select the Demo & Hit
folder.
Press F10 Exec. to start copying the Midi file. On the page that appears now you may modify the name of the Midi file using the keys of the
keyboard and the CURSOR +/- buttons. Press F10 Execute to confirm. Pressing F9 Copy All copies all Midi files without changing the name.
USING DEMO & HIT
After having copied all the required Midi files, pressing both the PIANIST and the STYLE SETTING buttons at the same time activates the Demo
& Hit function (the LEDs of the two buttons stay OFF). On the display the names of the copied Midi files appear in chronological order, distrib-
uted on a number of pages you can call up pressing the PAGE +/- buttons. The Midi files are associated with the relevant function buttons.
Pressing one of these, the relevant Midi file is immediately replayed without the need to press the START button. Pressing any other function
button starts replaying the Midi file associated with this button, and the previous one is interrupted.
ORGANISING THE MIDI FILES IN DEMO & HIT
You may delete Midi files or change their location on the Demo & Hit pages.
