Press START to stop reproduction.

LOADING A MIDI FILE FROM HARD DISK

On the contrary to the Floppy Disk, loading from Hard Disk is extremely rapid. If the Midi file is reproducing and originates from the Floppy Disk,
the reproduction procedure is to be stopped using START before switching over to the Hard Disk, then using the PAGE +/- push buttons go to
Hard Disk without exiting from Song Play.
If the Hard Disk had been previously selected, the enabling of Song Play will refer to a Folder of the Hard Disk.
If Master Folder is enabled, the reference Folder is the 91 Midi-file Folder.
If Master Folder is disabled, the reference Folder is the last selected in order of time. This performance can be exploited when playing live to
switch from folder 91 Midi file to that chosen by the musician by simply enabling or otherwise MASTER FOLDER, so that two Folders are imme-
diately ready and available.
The loading procedures of a Midi file are the same as those for the Floppy Disk (refer to the specific section). The loading times are obvious-
ly much shorter.

CREATING A TEMPORARY CHAIN OF MIDI FILES TO BE REPRODUCED

The F6 Juke-box function available in the Song Play page is used to create chains of Midi files taken from the Folder in use. Once the relative
function push button has been pressed a page opens where the Midi files within the Folder are indicated.
The Midi files to be booked are selected using the VALUE +/- push buttons. The Midi file selected is shown near to the box relative to F7 Go
Next.
If the number of the Midi file is entered it is immediately loaded in the memory and does not become a booked Midi file.
If you then press F7 Go Next, with the Midi file previously being reproduced, it will be stopped immediately to start again with the Midi file
selected.
At the end of the Midi file being reproduced, the Midi file selected in F7 Go Next will be automatically reproduced.
While in Song Play, by pressing F7 Go Next, the Midi file selected will be immediately reproduced.
If you stop the reproduction of the Midi file the SD1 loads the Midi file selected in F7 Go Next in the memory.
Temporary chains of Midi files can be created, starting from the Midi files in the Folder, for a maximum of 64 Midi files. It is however necessary
to enable the function by pressing the * push button to display the F9 Chain function in the Jukebox page. By pressing the * push button again,
the function disappears from the display.
To create a temporary chain, the following steps are required for each Midi file that makes it up:
Select the Midi file to be linked using the VALUE +/- push buttons.
Enable the chain function using F9 Chain. The symbol "♦" will appear next to the name of the Midi file and a number appears next to "Chain"
that indicates the position of the Midi file within the chain.
To cut-out a Midi file that is part of the chain, select it again and press F9 Chain. The symbol "♦" disappears from next to the name and the
SD1 up-dates the position of the other Midi files.
To cancel the whole chain press the VALUE +/- push buttons together at the same time.
Once the chain has been created, press F7 Go Next to load the first Midi file of the chain. Start its reproduction by pressing START. Upon
completion the SD1 will move onto the next Midi file.
By stopping the reproduction procedure using START the SD1 automatically loads the next Midi file of the chain and remains ready to start as
soon as START is pressed.
With a Midi file being reproduced, press F7 Go Next to call up the next Midi file of the chain that is immediately reproduced.
Return to the Song Play page using EXIT and call up the next Midi files of the chain using START.
Chains thus created cannot be saved and are lost if you change Folder or disk as the SD1 is no longer capable of finding the references.
Directories and words can be displayed at the same time if the "Screen" mode has been set in the Video function.
To be able to create Midi files chains and save them on disk the Chain Edit function of the Disk Utility menu is to be used. Refer to the spe-
cific section. This function is used to create a chain with a maximum of 32 Midi files, saved as .CHN files and displayed in F5 Dir of Song Play
with the letter "c" in front of the name.
