CHAPTER 1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Step 1 (pre-exposure)
In preparation for primary charging, the light from the pre-exposure LED assembly is
directed to the surface of the photosensitive drum to remove the residual charges from
the surface, thereby preventing uneven density.
