Powering On the DC Powered AT-x510-28GSX-80 Switch

Material and
Tools
This section contains the procedure for powering on the DC power
supplies in the AT-x510-28GSX Switch.
Warning
This equipment must be installed in a Restricted Access location.

The procedure requires the following material:
One 12 AWG stranded grounding wire. The standard color for the
wire is green with a yellow stripe.
One 16 AWG minimum stranded power wire for the -48/-60VDC
connection. The standard color for the wire is red.
One 16 AWG minimum stranded power wire for the RETURN
connection. The standard color for the wire is black.
One ring lug suitable for a M4/#8 stud and 12 AWG wire. An
example of a ring lug is shown in Figure 33.
Note
The grounding and power wires should be stranded wires. Do not
use solid wires.
This procedure requires the following tools:
Crimping tool
7mm wrench
7mm, 15 in-lb torque wrench (optional)
3mm (0.125 in.) flat-head screwdriver
3mm (0.125 in.), 5 in-lb torque, flat-head screwdriver (optional)
