9. Tighten the two captive screws on the sides of the DC connector to
secure the connector to the switch. Refer to Figure 45.

Caution
Verify that the DC circuit is powered off before connecting the power
wires from the switch to the circuit.
10. Connect the -48/-60VDC and RETURN wires to the DC circuit.
11. Repeat this procedure to connect the power wires to the second DC
power supply in the switch.
12. Power on the DC circuits.
Warning
Circuit breaker is used as a disconnection device. To de-energize
the equipment, shut down the circuit breaker and then disconnect
the input wire.
13. Do one of the following:
To monitor the switch as it initializes the management software,
which takes about thirty seconds, go to "Monitoring the
Initialization Processes" on page 85.
If you do not want to monitor the initialization process, wait thirty
seconds for the switch to initialize its management software and
then go to "Configuring the Switch for Stand-alone Operations" on
page 89.
