7.6 Controlling Conference

7.6.1 Adding Terminal

Prerequisites
l
Only the chairman can add a terminal during a conference.
l
Before adding a terminal, contact the system administrator and check the number of
the terminal to be added.
Context
After a conference is started, the chairman terminal can add one or more terminals that
are not in the conference list during conference initialization.
The following describes how to add a terminal by using the remote control. Alternatively,
you can log in to the PC console and click Invite Site.
Steps
1. During a conference, press the Conference key on the remote control. On the page
that is displayed, choose Conference Management to display the corresponding
page.
2. In the Conference Management menu that is displayed, choose Add Terminal. The
text box for entering the terminal name is displayed.
3. In the text box, enter the number of the terminal to be added, that is, the number of
the terminal registered in the GK.
4. Choose Add to invite the terminal to join the conference as a member.

Follow-Up Action
After a terminal is added successfully, the terminal will be displayed in the terminal list for
conference.

7.6.2 Hanging Up Terminal

Prerequisites
l
Currently, only the terminals that join a conference can be hanged up.
l Only the chairman terminal can perform this operation.
Context
After a conference is started, the chairman can hang up one or more terminals in the
conference. The terminals that are hanged up are displayed in the not-in-conference
terminal list. The chairman terminal can call these terminals to add them to the conference
again.
