Fuel Pump Inspection - Honda V30 Magna VF500C Manual

FUEL PUMP INSPECTION
Do not allow flames or sparks near gasoline.
Remove the seat and right and left side covers.
Disconnect the fuel pump relay coupler.
Short the wire between the BI and W terminals
of the harness coupler.
Disconnect the fuel line and hold a graduated
beaker under the fuel line.
Turn the fuel valve ON.
Turn the ignition switch Of! and let fuel flow into
the beaker for
10
seconds, then turn the ignition
switch off. Multiply the amount in the beaker by
6
to determine the fuel pump flow capacity per
minute.
FUEL PUMP FLOW CAPACITY:
700 cc (0.74 US qt, 0.62 Imp qt)

10%/minute
Connect the fuel lines.
Remove the jumper wire and connect the coupler
to the fuel pump relay.
Reinstall the removed parts.
