IGNITION COIL
REMOVAL

Front
Remove the seat, fuel tank and front frame cover.
Disconnect the spark plug caps and ignition coil
wires.
Remove the mounting bolts and ignition coil.
• Rear
Remove the seat and fuel tank.
Disconnect the spark plug caps and ignition coil
wires.
Remove the mounting bolts, ignition coil and
spark plug wires.
CONTINUITY TEST
Measure the primary coil resistance.
RESISTANCE: 2.Sn
Check the continuity between the primary terminal
and bracket.
There should be no continuity.
NOTE:
Measure the resistance while the coil is cold.
Measu re the secondary coil resistance.
RESISTANCE: 12.6-15.4 kn
NOTE:
Measure the resistance while the coil is cold.
