CLUTCH SYSTEM
Remove the thrust washer, collar and primary drive
gear.
DISASSEMBL Y
Remove the starter driven gear and needle bearing
from the starter clutch.
I nspect the rollers for smooth operation.
Remove the starter clutch cover by removing the
three bolts.
Remove the clutch rollers, plungers and springs.
INSPECTION
Check the rollers for excessive wear, and the springs
for weakness or damage.
