HYDRAULIC BRAKES
• BRAKE DISC WARPAGE
Measure the brake disc for warpage.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.30 mm (0.012 in)
FRONT MASTER CYLINDER
REMOVAL
Disconnect the front brake switch wires.
Remove the rear view mirror.
Drain the fluid from the brake system (page 14-3).
Disconnect the brake hose.
Remove the front brake master cylinder holder and
master cylinder.
CAUTION
A void spilling brake fluid on painted surfaces.
Place a rag over the fuel tank whenver the
brake system is being serviced.
NOTE:
When removing the fluid hose bolt, cover the
end of the hose to prevent contamination.
Secure the hose in an uplight position to
prevent fluid from leaking out.

Remove the brake lever from the master cylinder.
Remove the brake switch from the master cylinder.
Remove the boot.
