CRAN KSHAFT /PISTON
Remove the seal plate.
Remove the seven upper crankcase bolts.
Turn the engine over and remove the eight lower
crankcase bolts and fourteen crankshaft main
journal bolts.
NOTE:
Remove the bolts in two or more steps and in
a crisscross pattern to prevent damage to the
crankcase.
Separate the lower crankcase from the upper crank-
case.
NOTE:
Do not pry the crankcase mating surfaces
apart.
Tap the crankcase lightly to loosen the
crankcase.
