-OSPF-E-NOAUTHTYPE No authentication-method specfied for interface
Explanation:
In case of OSPF, the user has the choice of specifying the authentication-method
(Simple, MD5, None) in one of the following ways:
a) At the Area and Interface level.
b) At the Area level but not at the Interface level.
c) At the Interface level but not at the Area level.
If a authentication-method is not specified at neither the Area Level, nor the Interface
Level, and a authentication-key is specified, then this message is displayed. The SSR
would proceed ahead with the configuration as though the authentication was not
needed.
Recommended Action:
If the you want to have authentication, then an authentication-method needs to be
specified in one of the ways mentioned above.
-OSPF-E-NOVALIDAREA
Explanation:
This message appears when could not start OSPF because all areas were misconfigured
Recommended Action:
A more detailed error message is also displayed for each area's misconfiguration. Refer
to the more detailed messages.
-OSPF-E-NUMOFAREAERR Number of areas is zero (max <number>).
Explanation:
The software component that manages OSPF area resources has detected an internal
error.
