Chapter 15 Multicast Traceroute Error Messages
This chapter describes the error messages for the Multicast Traceroute facility.
Warning Messages
-MT-W-JOIN can't join group <group_name> on interface <interface_name>
Explanation:
This message appears when Mtrace cannot join group on interface
Recommended Action:
Make sure the interface specified exists and the group address is a multicast address.
-MT-W-LEAVE can't leave group <group_name> on interface <interface_name>
Explanation:
This message appears when Mtrace cannot leave the group on interface
Recommended Action:
This could be because there was no join for the group on the specified interface.
-MT-W-SENDTO sendto to <name> on <interface_name>
Explanation:
This message appears when the IGMP packet could not be sent.
Recommended Action:
This could be due to lack of resources, try again when the system is less busy.
