COMPUTER FORM FEED

When the computer form is properly placed through the edge guides [A] onto
the exposure glass, the CFF set sensor [B] is actuated. The CFF then is
ready to operate.

When the Start key is pressed, copying of the first page starts.
first and second scanners start returning after scanning the first page, the
belt motor and the inverter motor turn on and the form is fed forward.
The feed hole sensors (S9-1 [C] and S9-2 [D]), are mounted in the rear edge
guide facing the feed holes on the rear edge of the computer form. While the
form is being fed, the feed hole sensors generate ON/OFF signals. The main
board determines when to stop the belt and inverter motor based on the
selected form size (8.5", 11", or 12") and the input from the feed hole
sensors.
After that, copying of the next page starts.
After the final page is copied, the belt and inverter motors do not turn on;
the final page remains on the exposure glass.
The ADF and Copy Face Down indicators light on when the DF
