3. Paper Separation

To break the attraction between the paper and the drum, the separation
corona applies an ac corona to the back side of the paper. The stiffness of
the paper then causes it to separate from the drum.
The transfer/separation corona unit is mounted at an angle to the drum to
make the paper separate from
