2. Side-to-Side Registration Adjustment

ADJUSTMENT STANDARD: 0 ± 2.0 mm
NOTE: Adjust the lens side-to-side registration using the duplex tray; then, adjust
registration for the upper and/or lower tray.
Manually place a sheet of white paper on the exposure glass, select

duplex or image overlay mode, and press the Start key.

After the copy paper has entered the duplex tray, pull the duplex tray
out, and check that the copy paper [A] is flush with the front side
fence.
Re-insert the duplex tray and copy the test chart.

Turn off the main switch, remove the exposure glass (3 screws); then,
move the first scanner to gain access to the lens. (Refer to "Exposure
Glass Removal".)
CAUTION: - To move the first scanner manually, use the first scanner guide bracket.

Adjust side-to-side registration by moving the lens [C] left or right (2
screws).
6.
After positioning the lens, adjust side-to-side registration for all paper
trays by moving the tray stoppers [D] (2 screws each).
Do not use the exposure lamp unit.
- Do not loosen the lans housing guide studs [B].
- Be careful not to scratch the lens.
