Chime

A Chime can be generated when the system is not armed and a Sensor is opened or closed. The Chime sound comes from speakers in the various GCs within your system.
Activating Chime (Handset/Console)
Chime generation can be turned off for all the Sensors at once on the Handset or Console.
The CHIME key is shown in Figure 34 on the Handset.
To activate or deactivate Chimes:
1.
Press CHIME

Enter your User Code

Enabling/Disabling Sensor Chime (LifeShield.com)
Chime generation can be enabled or disabled for each Sensor (Figure 35):.
1.
Go to www.LifeShield.com
2.
Enter your User Name and Password
3.
Click Settings tab
4.
In the Sensors window, click Edit adjacent to desired Sensor
5.
Click Yes or No to enable or disable the Chime
6.
Click Continue
7.
Click Submit when requested
Enabling/Disabling Grid Controller Chime (LifeShield.com)
You can control which Grid Controllers make the Chime sound when a Sensor
opens (Figure 36):
1.
Go to www.LifeShield.com
2.
Enter User Name and Password
3.
Click Settings tab
4.
Navigate to Grid Controllers or Handsets
5.
Click Edit, adjacent to desired Grid Controller
6.
Click Yes or No to enable or disable the Chime sound
7.
Click Continue
8.
Click Submit when requested
