12.1.1

Identification Menu

The Identification menu makes it easy to identify and manage
the device in an extensive video surveillance system. The unit
name can be any combination of 32 alphanumeric characters.
You must assign a name to the device if you plan to use the
Dynamic Domain Name System (DNS) server feature.
In addition to a unit name, you can supply a unique identifier to
the device to facilitate identification on the network. This
identifier can be any combination of 32 alphanumeric
characters.

Display Stamping Menu

The Display Stamping menu allows the user to apply overlays or
"stamps" on top of the video image. More specifically, the
camera name stamp displays the camera name on top of the
video image and the time stamp displays the current date and
time on top of the video image. To stamp an overlay of the
camera's name and/or the data/time, do the following:
1. Open the AutoDome Easy IP Livepage, then click the
Settings link followed by the General drop-down menu,
then click Display Stamping. The Display Stamping screen
is displayed.
2. Select an option from the Camera Name Stamping drop-
down list and/or the Time Stamping drop-down list.
3. Click the Set button.
