Description
Profile
This field allows the user to enter a new name for the profile. The
Name
name is then displayed in the list of available profiles in the
Active encoder profile: field.
Target
To optimize utilization of the bandwidth in your network, you can
Data Rate
limit the data rate for the camera. The target data rate should be
set according to the desired picture quality for typical scenes
with no excessive motion.
For complex images or frequent changes of image content due to
frequent movements, this limit can temporarily be exceeded as
far as the value you enter in the Max. data rate: field.
Encoding
The figure selected here determines the interval at which images
Interval
are encoded and transmitted. For example, entering 4 means
that only every fourth image is encoded, the following three
images are skipped – this can be particularly advantageous with
low bandwidths.
Video
The video resolution field allows the user to select the desired
Resolution
resolution for the H.264 video image. The following resolutions
are available:
CIF 352 × 288/240 pixels
2CIF 704 × 288/240 pixels
4CIF/D1 704 × 576/480 pixels
Maximum
This maximum data rate is not exceeded under any
Data Rate
circumstances. Depending on the video quality settings for the I-
and P-frames this can result in the skipping of individual images.
The value entered here should be at least 10% higher than the
value entered in the Target data rate field.
I-frame
This parameter determines the number of inter-coded frames
Distance
between two I-frames.
