DSC OPERATION

D Transmitting an Individual call

The Individual call function allows you to transmit a DSC sig-
nal to a specific coast station or ship only. After transmission,
wait to receive the acknowledgement call from the receiving
station. The voice communication can be performed after re-
ceiving the acknowledgement 'Able to comply.'
Your ship
• General procedure for transmitting an Individual call:
Transmit a DSC signal
A specific ship or a coast station
receives the signal.
Receive the ACK call
Voice communication
Only when 'Able to comply' is
received.
