DSC OPERATION

D Regular call

The nature of the distress should be included in the Distress call.
q Push [MENU] to enter the DSC menu, then rotate [SE-
LECTOR] to select "Distress Call", push [ENT].

w Rotate [SELECTOR] to select the nature of the distress,
push [ENT].
• 'Undesignated,' 'Fire, Explosion,' 'Flooding,' 'Collision,' 'Grounding,'
'Capsizing,' 'Sinking,' 'Adrift,' 'Abandoning Ship,' 'Piracy (Piracy at-
tack)' and 'Man Overboard' are available.
• The selected nature of the distress is stored.
• Push [CLR] to cancel and back to the previous screen.

When the transceiver receives the GPS data from the
connected GPS receiver, the following screens (steps e
to t) do not appear. Go to step y at p. 36.
e Input your latitude data directly with the keypad (if you want to
change the displayed data). After inputting, push [ENT] to set.
• If the data is not necessary to be changed, push [ENT] to skip
the input step.
• Push [6•
] to input N; North latitude or [7•
MNO
S; South latitude.
• Rotate [SELECTOR] to move the cursor backward or forward.
• Push [CE] to clear the position and time data. (p. 36)
• Push [CLR] to cancel and back to the previous screen.
