D Transmitting a Distress Acknowledgement call

Distress call reception should stop after one sequence since
the coast station should send back an 'acknowledgement' to
the ship. If the distress call continues even the coast station
send back an 'acknowledgement,' the ship in distress may
not be receiving the call.
In such cases, you should contact the coast station via the
phone and send back an 'acknowledgement' on behalf of the
coast station if the coast station requires.
q Push [MENU] to enter the DSC menu, then rotate
[SELECTOR] to select "Distress ACK," push [ENT].
• "Distress ACK" is added to the DSC menu after receiving
a distress call.
