PRIMEQUEST 1000 Series General Description
CHAPTER 4 Functions Provided by the PRIMEQUEST 1000 Series
4.2.5
Partition settings and configuration display
This function displays the settings and configuration of a partition. The partition settings are used for distributing
the resources of mounted hardware and for determining the units of control and management. The following figure
shows an example of the setup of three partitions.
FIGURE 4.3 Example of mounting different operating system versions on each partition
The partitions are set up with specified combinations of the SB, LIOB, and LGSPB. A displayed partition
configuration can show each incorporated SB, LIOB, and LGSPB, and their components. The partition can be
changed by modifying the combination of the SB, LIOB, and LGSPB, in the same way that they were specified.
For details on displaying the partition configuration, see Chapter 1 MMB Web-UI (Web User Interface) Operations
in the PRIMEQUEST 1000 Series Tool Reference (C122-E110EN).
4.2.6
DVD switch function for partitions
This function switches between DVD connection destinations (partitions) (DVD switch function).
The USB interfaces that are the outputs from individual SBs are concentrated with the USB MUX (multiplexer)
on the DVDB and connected to the STAT DVD drive through the USB-SATA conversion bridge.
It can be connected to an arbitrary partition. The connection destination can be set using the MMB Web-UI. This
function enables individual DVD-ROM connections to any partitions.
