CHAPTER 2 Hardware Configuration
A PCI Express signal output from the SB is connected to switch#0 at the first stage. Since the PCI Express switch
has the partitioning function, it can statically and logically divide the IOB. The MMB firmware operates the partition
via the serial bus for firmware control (SMBUS). Also, two ports (for eight lanes) used for loopback from switch#0
to the GSPB are provided on the MP connector side.

PCI Express slot

The IOB has eight 8-lane slots compatible with PCI Express Gen2 connected from the PCI Express switches (#1
and #2) at the second stage. Each slot supports PCI Hot Plug.
