Memory Mirror function

The PRIMEQUEST 1000 series has a Memory Mirror function.
The Memory Mirror function duplicates memory and writes data to the duplicated memory. If an unrecoverable
error occurs in one memory, the data in the other memory is used. This protects data from multi-bit errors that
cannot be corrected by ECC, thereby enabling continuous and stable system operation.
Although the function decreases the size of available memory compared with the PRIMERGY's spare memory, it
improves data security and system redundancy.

Memory Interleave function

The Memory Interleave function, which accesses multiple memory boards in parallel, is effective for reading and
writing large volumes of data at one time.
In the PRIMEQUEST 1000 series, Memory Interleave uses the memory controller in each CPU. Memory Interleave
is always enabled. However, the interleaving method varies depending on the model and CPU configuration.

Partitioning functions

The PRIMEQUEST 1000 series has partitioning functions.
The partitioning functions divide hardware resources in a cabinet into several logical systems and operate each
divided system independently.
The partitioning functions have the following features.
- They construct multiple jobs in the same cabinet and enable flexible system operation.
- They protect each partition with hardware to prevent a failure of any partition from affecting the other
partitions.

Flexible I/O

The Flexible I/O function can configure a partition by combining any SB and IO Unit.
The PRIMEQUEST 1000 series supports Flexible I/O as an I/O resource connection mode. Flexible I/ O mode is
enabled by default.
