5.1

Partitioning Functions

The PRIMEQUEST 1000 series has partitioning functions. The partitioning functions divide hardware resources
in a cabinet into several logical systems and operate each divided system independently. The partitioning functions
have the following features.
- They construct multiple jobs in the same cabinet and enable flexible system operation.
- They prevent a failure in any partition from affecting the other partitions.
The following table lists the maximum number of partitions in the PRIMEQUEST 1000 series.
