DIMM (Memory Module)

This section describes the DIMMs used in the PRIMEQUEST 1000 series.
2.4.1

Supported DIMMs

The PRIMEQUEST 1000 series supports 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB DDR3 Registered DIMMs.
The PRIMEQUEST 1800E2 supports 16 GB and 32 GB DIMMs in addition to the above DIMMs.

2.4.3

DIMM mounting group

This section describes the DIMM mounting groups.
DIMMs in the PRIMEQUEST 1000 series server are mounted in units of groups (four modules per group).
However, in Memory Mirror mode, they can be mounted in units of two groups (eight modules) depending on the
model and partition configuration. For details on the DIMM mounting conditions, see G.2.1 DIMM mounting
sequence in the PRIMEQUEST 1000 Series Administration Manual (C122-E108EN).
